How do I meet people?
St Peter’s church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members.
Whether you are a child, a 95-year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a business person with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community.
Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at St Peter’s Church.

Worship – We give glory to God

Lively worship that will appeal to all ages with a solid, biblical message that applies to your real life.

Small Groups – OUR PURPOSE: to GROW FAITH

Faith isn’t just believing correct doctrines. It’s ACTION: when God’s truth and life in us
motivates and empowers everything we do and think. The purpose is to be a small group,
each of you drawing closer to God, together. [That is to say, the purpose is NOT to attend
a study or add one more activity to your church life.] A small group is a vehicle for
transformation (to let God transform you to be more like him),
not a place to just get more faith information.

Outdoor Men’s Ministry

About once a month the men sponsor a program or project related to
hunting/fishing/the outdoor life…turkey hunting, gathering sheds, releasing pheasants,
wild game feed, etc. These program are open to all interested men.

Women of the Church

Ladies Aid, which includes all women of the church meet the first Wednesday
of each month at noon for worship and Bible study.
Every Tuesday a group get together to make quilts, layettes and school kits
to send overseas through Lutheran World Relief.

Sunday School – we help our children learn to know Jesus
Our congregation holds Sunday School on Sunday mornings for children,
age 3 through 9th grade at 9 am from September through May.

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School is usually held in July and features music, crafts, snacks, stories,
puppet shows, and play-acting about how much Jesus loves them.

Confirmation Program

Instruction is offered to 7th, 8th & 9th grade students who were baptized as infants
so they can make their own personal faith commitment to Jesus.
Each student who completes the 3 years of instruction participates in a service
of personal commitment (Confirmation) in the spring of their 9th grade year.

Youth

Various activities for fun, fellowship and faith building are offered to our youth.
Activities include Bible studies, service projects, TEC (Teens Encountering Christ),
Faith Quake & Catch the Wave retreats.
